How our guarantee works

What the guarantee covers

Every floor we restore is covered by a 3-month service guarantee, starting on the day the work is completed. If anything we did is not right within that period, we return and fix it at no cost to you.

The guarantee covers faults including:

  • A finish that peels, lifts or does not cure as it should

  • Visible sanding marks or uneven sanding left by our machines

  • Patchy or uneven staining that differs from the agreed sample

  • Boards or blocks we repaired or replaced that come loose under normal use

The guarantee applies under normal domestic or agreed commercial use, provided the aftercare advice we give you is followed.

What is not covered

Gap filling is excluded from our service guarantee. Wooden floors are a natural material and move with the seasons and with the building itself. As boards expand and contract, resin filler or pine slivers can crack, shrink or drop out, and gaps can reopen. This is the nature of the timber rather than a fault in the work, so we cannot guarantee it — see our gap filling page for more on how we approach it.

The guarantee also does not cover:

  • Damage from water, leaks, flooding or standing spills

  • Marks from furniture moved or used without protective pads

  • Damage from pets' claws, high heels, grit or wheeled equipment

  • Existing defects in the subfloor, joists or structure, damp, or movement in the building

  • Natural colour change in the timber from light and ageing

  • Damage from unsuitable cleaning products or lack of maintenance

How to make a claim

Spotted something? Get in touch with a short description and some photos. We will inspect the floor and, where the issue is covered, book in the remedial work at no cost. The guarantee forms part of our terms and conditions.
